Selena Live! Astrodome 1994 is an unreleased live concert by American Tejano pop singer Selena. It was performed on February 27, 1994 at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at the Houston Astrodome. It was originally set for release in 2020, but it has been rescheduled to potentially be released in 2025, along with the 1993 Astrodome concert. The rescheduled release of both concerts occurred because Abraham Quintanilla Jr. released the trailer before it was complete, along with factors of the COVID-19 pandemic. The last time a clip from the 1994 concert was released by the Quintanillas was in 2022. On July 17, 2024, a Facebook comment made by Abraham stated that he had sold the concert to a company for $30,000, but this was told to be false by Suzette Quintanilla in an Instagram comment.
About[]
Supposedly, this was the longest out of the three Astrodome concerts, believed to be over an hour long. Also, there is no way to watch the full concert at all. The only way to watch it is only if given permission to view it by Q Productions in their facility or if viewed when it was broadcasted live on different television networks, or if you actually attended the performance during the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and recorded it. There is a low chance that rare clips can be found by digging through old news reports, and most if not all clips have been found anyway. Only a few who attended and recorded the concert have come forward and said they have a recording, but have not published it on any website to stay out of legal trouble. There are only short clips and an abundance of photographs of the event that currently exist.
For the concert's 28th anniversary on February 27, 2022, a 1-minute long clip of La Carcacha was released on the Selena official Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Years prior, RodeoHouston released a clip of a different part of La Carcacha on their official Instagram and Facebook with the original, unremastered audio. A full clip of Yo Me Voy was released in 2020 on the official Q-Productions Facebook, and the full clip of Si La Quieres was released in 2024 on their official YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. There are only small clips of La Llamada, No Debes Jugar, Baila Esta Cumbia, Ya Ves, Que Creías, Amor Prohibido, more clips of La Carcacha, and Como La Flor, as well as an abundance of pictures, most from the first half of the show and after the show. It was confirmed that Besitos was performed that night because of a newspaper. The same newspaper also confirms La Llamada as the opening song for the show. Las Cadenas can be heard for only about one second at the end of Si La Quieres, and Ven Conmigo can be heard for about one second at the beginning of Yo Me Voy.
UPDATE:[]
On February 17, 2024, during a Selena tribute aired by Domingo Live, a clip of Selena performing Si La Quieres at the 1994 Astrodome performance premiered, as well as a clip of No Debes Jugar from her 1993 Astrodome performance. The broadcast was taken down from KIII’s website, but was re-released by the Quintanillas on February 18 on the Selena official YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
On July 17, 2024, a 1 minute clip of Amor Prohibido was released on Selena's official Facebook and Instagram pages. The first half of the clip was originally an exclusive that aired on a Christina program. This video is the original/new footage from Q Productions with the remastered audio, though the clip has been stretched and cropped, cropping out the sides of the video. It was also confirmed by Selena's sister, Suzette, that they are “not giving up on getting this concert out to [the fans].” Some fans also noted that the Q Productions logo was not present onto the new clip. This is seen as evidence that a different studio did buy the concert footage, therefore Q Productions can't put their watermark on these concert clips anymore.

Setlist[]
A mystery surrounds the setlist of this concert. Despite the concert having taken place over 30 years ago with an attendance of more than 60,000 fans, no one has come forward with an official setlist. The Quintanilla family has also not revealed the true setlist to the concert. Fans have been able to piece together songs performed that night, using setlists from other concerts around that time as a guide. A lot of the songs are confirmed because of videos and newspaper clippings, but what remains a mystery is the exact order of the songs and if other songs were performed. A lot of fans believe Selena performed multiple songs from the album Amor Prohibido, despite the album being released a month later. The only confirmed and most likely only song from the album to have been performed by Selena that night is Amor Prohibido, as clips and newspaper clippings confirm it. Another speculated song is Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, which is backed up by the fact she performed it at another show weeks before the Astrodome concert. It is highly likely that these would have been the only songs performed that night as the album was not released yet.

Information of the speculated song[]
1. Bidi Bidi Bom Bom: A little short clip that was shown in the documentary "Selena Remembered" showed Selena doing a move that made people speculate that Selena sang Bidi Bidi Bom Bom. Before her Astrodome concert, Selena played at the Hotel Marriott Convention de Radio y Musica and this was one of the first times she performed Bidi Bidi Bom Bom. The short clip could have mostly been from Baila Esta Cumbia or La Carcacha. A fan reportedly asked Abraham Quintanilla which songs were performed that night, including a question of whether Bidi Bidi Bom Bom was performed. Abraham said no, though this story is highly likely to be fabricated for likes.
